The exercise was conducted from 17 October to 26 October at Air Force Base Masirah, Oman, and marked an important milestone in strengthening air force cooperation between the two friendly nations.

First Overseas Deployment of IAF MiG-29 in Joint Exercise

Significantly, Eastern Bridge-19 marked the first time Indian Air Force MiG-29 fighter aircraft participated in an international air exercise outside India. Defence analysts view the deployment as a key step in showcasing the IAF’s expeditionary capability and operational readiness in the extended Indian Ocean Region.

The Indian Air Force shared an official statement confirming the successful culmination of the exercise, noting that the engagement contributed to improved understanding of joint air operations and mission planning between IAF and RAFO.
